Vanessa Angulo is the Senior Director of Field Talent Acquisition at Sysco, a global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food products to restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments and other customers who prepare meals away from home. Vanessa embarked on her recruiting career 21 years ago at Club Staffing, where she discovered her passion for the field. There she focused on recruiting medical professionals, such as Phlebotomists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists, for 12–24-week travel assignments across the United States. She later transitioned into nurse recruiting and then expanded into professional and C-suite recruiting. In 2013, Vanessa joined Sysco as a Talent Acquisition Partner and has since held various leadership roles in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources. Vanessa has also served as the chair of Sysco’s Spectrum CRG for three years, received Sysco’s CEO Pinnacle Award for Inclusion in 2022, and has been a member of the DEI Global Council since its inception in 2021. Her achievements include being named one of Oncon's Top 100 Talent Acquisition Professionals in 2023 and leading her team to the Top 50 Talent Acquisition Teams the same year. She was also recognized as a Top 50 Talent Acquisition Professional in 2024.
