Rossella Blatt Vital is Chief AI Officer at Lumen Technologies, where she leads enterprise AI strategy and transformation. With nearly 20 years of experience across AI, data, and engineering, she has built and scaled high-performing AI organizations across SaaS, retail, fintech, HR tech, and enterprise technology. Rossella’s work sits at the intersection of AI, business transformation, and workforce evolution. At Lumen, she is helping shape the company’s reinvention for the AI era — positioning AI as a strategic growth engine and enterprise capability that can transform how the company operates, serves customers, builds products, and enables its workforce for the future. Previously, Rossella held senior AI leadership roles at Levi’s, Nordstrom, Trunk Club, and Sprout Social, where her teams delivered agentic and AI-powered products across personalization, discovery, customer experience, marketing, analytics, and business operations. She has a proven track record of translating AI innovation into nine-figure business impact while building high-performing teams and modern operating models. Rossella began her career in applied machine learning research across healthcare, brain-computer interfaces, and predictive analytics. Originally from Italy, she holds an M.S. and B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and pursued a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence.
